A little bit of history released in 2014.
Reflecting the austerity of the post war years when there was shortages of the usual materials that were used to make Steiff bears meant that designers had to be creative in usuing different fabrics.
The bear is made of blond alpaca, instead of the thgenusual mohair, with sable cotton fabric paw pads.
He is fully jointed, with glass eyes and a squeaker.
Softly stuffed with excelsior wood shavings, an embroidered brown nose and claws.
Patinated steel underscored Button in Ear.
Light turquoise ribbon.
Limited edition of 1000 bears.
